If you chose to have your order delivered, our deliveries will be delivered either by our own lorries or handled by a local courier. Either way, to ensure you receive the best service, please acknowledge the following points:
1. The delivery address has access for a heavy goods vehicle
2. Goods will be delivered to the nearest accessible hard surface
All deliveries will be left at the safest, closest location to your property. If there are restrictions such as a gravel driveway or steep incline goods will be normally be left at the kerbside.
3. A responsible person will need to be available to sign for goods
The person receiving the delivery must check and sign for the goods. We must be informed of any shortages/damages within 48 hours of delivery. If no-one is available at the delivery address the goods will not be left, a £30 charge will apply for a second delivery. If the goods are accepted by a third party it is imperative that the goods are checked personally by you to make sure that they are as ordered. No claims can be accepted once the tiles are fixed, Parkside will not be liable for discrepancies after this period.
4. Delivery drivers cannot move goods inside the property
It is not the drivers responsibility to move the goods into your home or under cover. The drivers ‘working practices’ are governed by their Heath and Safety directives which may restrict any additional lifting or carrying of goods.
5. We cannot specify or guarantee an exact time for delivery
There are many deliveries made each day and the driver’s route can only be finalised on the day of delivery and may even change during the day depending on factors beyond their control. Consequently we are sorry but we cannot give a time for delivery. Parkside Ceramics Ltd will not be liable for delays in delivery caused by mechanical breakdown, traffic or weather problems or any other reasons beyond Parkside’s control.
